Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski must surely be the favourite to win the Ballon d'Or.European football fans are rightfully raving about this Bayern side at the moment and although they have quality all over the pitch, there's no denying that Lewandowski is the jewel in their crown.Lewandowski finished the Bundesliga season as the top-scorer in the land, leading the Bavarians to an eighth consecutive title, but he wasn't going to settle for league glory.That's because Saturday night gave Bayern the opportunity to complete yet another domestic double in the DFB-Pokal final against Bayer Leverkusen.It will come as no surprise that Bayern are on course to win the trophy - they lead 3-1 at the time of writing - but Lewandowski will once again hog all the headlines.

Bayern led 2-0 at half-time courtesy of David Alaba's free-kick and Serge Gnabry's 20th goal of the season, but everybody knew the third goal was going to be Lewandowski's.
Considering how prolific he's been this season, perhaps the only shock is that Lewandowski's strike was, well, actually pretty ugly and he had the goalkeeper to thank for finding the net.

Lewandowski strangely decided to take his shot on the volley from fully 25 yards out, hitting his effort tamely, but the Leverkusen 'keeper made an absolute hash of things to concede.
But what's so special about such a scrappy goal? Well, it's the fact Lewandowski has now scored 50 - yes, 50 - goals during the 2019/20 campaign.
It's the first time he's ever reached a half-century in his career and the fact Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi 'only' have 29 and 27 strikes respectively puts the achievement into context.
Thirty-four of the Pole's strikes have come in the Bundesliga, 11 transpired in the Champions League and then a further five in the DFB-Pokal. For the record, that makes him the top scorer in all three competitions.
For our money, Lewandowski should be on course to win the Ballon d'Or.
