Did you know that Manchester United’s front three has scored more than Liverpool’s this season?

Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood have combined to score 55 goals in all competitions.

That’s four more than the combined tally of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

This feels like an exciting time for attacking trios in the Premier League, with Chelsea adding more firepower with the arrivals of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.

And the league’s top scorers, Manchester City, have an array of players they can rely upon to score.

So with that said, we’ve decided to rank the predicted front threes of the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’ clubs for the 2020/21 season.

That’s Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Let’s get into it.

6. Tottenham

Predicted front three: Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Steven Bergwijn

Kane is a prolific goalscorer and Son contributes goals and assists, but Spurs’ don’t have an outstanding third attacker.

Bergwijn, a January arrival from PSV Eindhoven, is young and could develop into a fine player.

5. Arsenal

Predicted front three: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette

Aubameyang is a world-class player but Arsenal rank fifth due to the attackers around him.

We’re still waiting to see the best of Pepe in the Premier League while Lacazette has had a down year, scoring just eight goals in the league.

Lacazette isn’t a guaranteed starter next season - Eddie Nketiah has received some opportunities lately - but we don’t think Arsenal will bring in another striker in the transfer window due to their other needs.

4. Chelsea

Predicted front three: Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech

This has the potential to be a great front three - we just haven’t seen it yet.

That’s why we can only rank it fourth, but if Chelsea’s attackers click straight away then they could be higher.

Pulisic has impressed since the restart while Werner, who has scored 34 goals for RB Leipzig this season, looks destined to be a great striker.

3. Manchester United

Predicted front three: Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood

It’s tempting to put Man United’s exciting front three in the top two, but we’re not ready to get ahead of ourselves.

But let it be known that this could be a truly devastating attack for years to come.

Martial is 24, Rashford is 22 and Greenwood is 18. They’ve combined to score 55 goals this season and by the end of the 2020/21 season, could be the best attack in the Premier League.

Just imagine if they sign Jadon Sancho, too…

2. Manchester City

Predicted front three: Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez

Pep Guardiola has the luxury of having a number of players who can score, with Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne also capable of finding the net.

But he’ll be on the lookout for another attacker after losing Leroy Sane.

Aguero is 32 and Mahrez is 29, so some youth would be welcomed to ensure.

It’s a shame Guardiola doesn’t expect Sancho to come back to the Etihad. He’d be a welcome addition.

1. Liverpool

Predicted front three: Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino

Liverpool’s front three has performed at an incredible level for the past three seasons, firing the Reds to Champions League and Premier League glory.

They’ve combined to score 51 goals in all competitions this season and they’re consistency is just remarkable.

Jurgen Klopp is keen to add depth, and he might be on the lookout for a new striker to compete with Firmino, but we’d take Liverpool’s attacking trio over any others entering the 2020/21 season.
