Everton can move into European contention on Monday.
They face Tottenham Hotspur in north London in a game that could see them leapfrog Jose Mourinho’s men.
They currently sit 11th in the Premier League table and are just one point behind Spurs, who lost to Sheffield United on Thursday.
The Toffees have been in good form since the resumption of the league, drawing with Liverpool and beating both Norwich City and Leicester City.
It adds up to a promising picture for the Merseyside club as they bid to become Europa League contenders under Carlo Ancelotti’s management.
They do not have the most difficult run-in, with their only top-six opponent being Wolves between now and the end of the season.
They are, as a result, making plans for the summer transfer window as the season progresses.
There have been a number of reports surrounding possible acquisitions but The Sun now claims that there could be a major exit in the coming months.
Defender Yerry Mina has been a key member of the club’s squad this season but, in recent weeks, he has struggled for minutes, missing out on the squad entirely against Liverpool and Norwich.
And the report states that Valencia are currently interested in snaffling the Colombia international away from Goodison Park in a potential £15 million deal.
Ancelotti is said to be willing to move Mina on and John Stones is seen as a possible acquisition if the Toffees star does leave.
Stones spent three years on Merseyside before his move to Manchester City.

Mina has made 26 appearances in total this season and his numbers are not exactly superb.
Per WhoScored, he has averages 1.4 tackles per game, 1 interception, 0.7 fouls, and 3.5 clearances, while his passing accuracy is also 83.8%.
Stones, by comparison, averages 1.2 tackles per game, 0.7 interceptions, 0.3 fouls, and 2 clearances; he has a passing accuracy of 94%.
It is understandable that the City man has a better accuracy – he is regularly encouraged to bring the ball out from the back by Pep Guardiola – but Mina’s numbers are better across the board.
When one considers that Stones is valued at £32.4m by Transfermarkt and earns £100,000-per-week per Spotrac, it feels like an expensive downgrade.
