Celtic are looking at being champions for the 10th season in a row.
The Scottish club are already looking towards the summer as they look to build on a season in which they have been crowned yet again.
Neil Lennon’s side took 80 points from their 30 games, losing just twice, before the COVID-19 pandemic curtailed the season.
Rangers sat second, 13 points behind their bitter Old Firm rivals.
They are already looking to the summer as they aim to continue their domination of the Scottish Premiership but they could well miss out on one potential acquisition.
They have had Fraser Forster on loan from Southampton all season and he has made a total of 28 appearances in the top-flight.
In that time, he has conceded just 17 goals and kept 14 clean sheets but it does not appear that he will be remaining in Scotland.
The Sun has reported previously that Forster is unlikely to remain at Celtic because of the £5 million fee that would be needed to secure his signature, while his wages of over £90,000-per-week have thrown another spanner into the works.
And Alex Bruce, the former Republic of Ireland international, believes that the manager Lennon will be devastated to miss out on the Saints goalkeeper.
He said, per Football Insider: “We did worry a few weeks ago, what kind of wage demands are put on these players and when you talk about those figures you can understand why, in Scotland, they struggle to match it.
“It’ll be a big blow for Lennon. In my opinion, you’re better off playing, you’re always better off playing so if he can sort out something to go back to Celtic, it would be beneficial for both parties but when you’re on such big money, it makes players’ positions difficult.”

Forster first played for Celtic in 2010, joining on loan from Newcastle United; he stayed until 2014, with the deal made permanent in 2012.
A move to Saints cost the Premier League club £10 million and he returned in the summer, playing a key role in the club’s triumph this season.
If Lennon sees him slip through his fingers, he will need to go out and find a genuinely exceptional goalkeeper who can replace him.
Great goalkeepers are not easy to find and Celtic have one between the sticks.
If he departs, Lennon will surely be fuming.
