Leicester players say 'Bruno Fernandes always scores' when checking Man Utd result

Bruno Fernandes' free-kick vs Bournemouth was a cracker

Leicester City are still one of the hot favourites to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Despite a number of lacklustre displays since the Premier League's restart, the Foxes still sit third in the table.

Yesterday's 3-0 win over Crystal Palace - which saw Jamie Vardy score twice - will no doubt have given Brendan Rodgers' side a much-needed boost going into the business end of the campaign.

However, they will be mighty concerned by the form of one team - Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side look a fearsome prospect right now and after beating Bournemouth 5-2 yesterday, the Red Devils are just three points behind Leicester in fifth.

The Leicester players themselves are clearly wary of the threat United possess, because Kelechi Iheanacho was checking their score in the dressing room after the Palace game yesterday.

Wilfried Ndidi recorded the conversation with his Nigerian colleague and posted it on social media.

"How many did Greenwood score?" asks Ndidi, with Iheanacho replying: "Two."

The former Manchester City man then adds: "Rashford, Martial... Bruno Fernandes will always score. He always scores."

You're not wrong, Kelechi. Ever since Fernandes' move to Manchester from Sporting Lisbon, the Portuguese midfielder has been something of a goal machine.

In his nine Premier League matches, the 25-year-old has scored six goals and assisted a further five.

Greenwood celebraties vs Bournemouth

His presence in midfield has taken United to a new level, while Greenwood, Martial and Rashford are a front three that are currently being envied by the rest of the footballing world.

"Mason is one of the best, if not the best, finisher I have worked with and seen," Solskjaer said about Greenwood after yesterday's game. "He is so calm. He knows where to finish if it is on the training ground, here or in his garden at home."

He really is a special talent and with Fernandes in behind weaving his magic, there's no telling how far he can go in a United shirt.

The race for the top four is on!
