If you didn’t watch Tottenham vs Everton on Monday night, you’re one of the fortunate ones.Spurs won 1-0 but it was probably the worst 90 minutes of football since the Premier League’s return - and that’s saying something.The only goal of the game came when Giovani Lo Celso’s shot hit Michael Keane and flew past Jordan Pickford for an own goal.Very little else happened in the first half.That was until referee Graham Scott blew for half-time and we witnessed an extremely angry Hugo Lloris confront teammate Son Heung-min.It took everyone by surprise as fans wondering what on earth it was all about.But in the Sky Sports studio at half-time, footage revealed that Lloris was angry at Son’s lack of effort which allowed Yerry Mina to stroll forward resulting in Richarlison’s shot.After seeing the footage, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp said: "He [Son] absolutely gives up on it and there's a reaction," he said. "He [Lloris] is proud, he doesn't want to see someone running at his back four.
"He then shouts at Son and it's the most exciting thing that happens in the first half."That actually might be a consequence of what happened in the Sheffield United game when he didn't defend. He (Lloris) then runs up to him (Son) and pushes (Giovani) Lo Celso in the way, almost.Take a look:
"He's had a healthy conversation. I've seen this before with Steve McManaman and Bruce Grobbelaar and in a way, it shows they care.
"At Sheffield United, they didn't. In the dressing room, that will get sorted out. They will shake hands and get on with it. You have got to have that sometimes. It's not the first time it's happened in football and it's not the last.
"You want them to show a bit of passion and if he is not doing his job, Son, because it was too easy, you have to help your team out and he didn't - and you have to let people know."
Sure enough, when the Spurs players emerged from the dressing room at half-time, the pair made sure the cameras witnessed them kiss and make up.
In truth, it’s nice to see your players show a bit of passion on the pitch. Loris is the club captain and had every right to give Son a piece of his mind if he doesn’t think he’s working hard enough.
