Top ten summary

One can't help but feel that, right or wrong, Neymar and Pogba have been hurt by their public images here, despite the fact they're two of the most talented players of their generation.

Casillas, one of the greatest goalkeepers in history, seems very harsh in eighth, while we frankly have no clue why Dzeko, who is surely underrated, and Paulinho have made it into the top 10.

Balotelli is perhaps an understandable pick and we're not surprised to see Messi and Ronaldo finish so highly, but only because the fans of one automatically likely up-voted the other and vice verse.

Kagawa? Shinji Kagawa? What's the beef with Kagawa? Maybe he was slightly overhyped when he signed for Manchester United, but we're at a complete loss as to why people have voted him all the way up to third(!?) place.

And Falcao comes first. Hmmm, we can only imagine that a lot of votes for the Colombian came in an era where he transitioned from being the world's best number nine to a complete flop at United and Chelsea.

Who is the most overrated?

So, there you have it, Falcao is apparently the most overrated footballer in the history of the game.

There's something that doesn't feel quite right about that, but who are we to argue with the supporters themselves?

If you do feel aggrieved with the voting, though, the order is always subject to change and you can hop on thetoptens.com to posture Messi, Ronaldo or whoever in top spot if you so desire.
