A boxing match billed as ‘The heaviest in history’, Eddie ‘The Beast’ Hall is set to do battle with World’s Strongest Man rival Hafthor ‘The Mountain’ Bjornsson in Las Vegas next year.

Despite, however, the fight being a year away, their preparations are already well underway.

Former World’s Strongest Man Hall, as seen in this speed training video clip, is already showing how he has been altering his workouts in a bid to build speed to add to his already considerable strength.

During the video, the Englishman clearly demonstrates his impressive sharpness on the punching bag and certainly looked a lot leaner than his Icelandic opponent. Bjornsson, by comparison, appeared slower at landing his punches and his breathing was noticeably rather heavy.

Hall revealed that he had recently started doing 32-minute HIIT (High Intensity Interval Workout) sessions in order to improve his cardio. This includes doing traditional exercises such as kettlebell swings and everyone’s favourite the burpee!

‘The Beast’, however, has also included some rather more obscure exercises in order to maintain an elevated heart rate. For instance, swinging a baseball bat at a heavy bag.

These rather intensive exercises along with an adjusted diet have already allowed Hall to shed a considerable amount of weight.

The two former World's Strongest Man champions have been embroiled in a heated feud that began on the strongman circuit, where Bjornsson accused Hall of cheating to win the title back in 2017.

Subsequently, the Game of Thrones star broke Hall’s 500kg deadlift record by just one kilogram back in May of this year. This led to this boxing match between these two giants being made!

After breaking the dead lift record, Bjornsson said: “So Eddie, I just knocked out your record, and now I’m ready to knock you out in the ring.”

Hall has since retorted by saying: “We absolutely despise each other beyond belief. If he was on fire I wouldn’t piss on him.”

This clearly demonstrates that the hatred and rivalry between the pair is very real and they both certainly have that hunger to achieve the win in Las Vegas next year.

Who do you think will emerge victorious?
