After drawing with Luton, they bounced back in some style with a dominative 3-1 performance against Blackburn Rovers.
The Whites are now firmly in the driving seat to achieve a place in the Premier League, sitting at the top of the table by one point.
Heading into the next fixtures, they are five points ahead of third-placed Fulham who have also played a match more than Leeds.
For Marcelo Bielsa and co, the top-flight beckons.
If United go up they'll presumably have a large transfer kitty to spend - such are the riches that come with a place in the Premier League.
However, with Leeds right on the cusp of financial fair play restrictions, they may find spending difficult if they fail to get promoted.
Leeds have a number of options and obligations to buy in the terms of some of their loan players.
Helder Costa is set to become a permanent part of the furniture while Illan Meslier has an option in his contract where Bielsa can sign him from Lorient.
Though, the Whites also have an option in Jack Harrison's loan contract. Phil Hay confirmed that they could pay just £8m to bring him to Elland Road in the summer, and now it looks as though they're going to do just that.
Football Insider claimed on Tuesday that a deal was moving closer.
A recruitment source told the outlet that the winger is very likely to join if they achieve promotion.

If Leeds do go up and can spend the £8m required to land Harrison permanently, it would be a no brainer.
The former New York City flanker has been nothing short of excellent this season and should be in with a chance of winning Leeds' Player of the Season award.
Harrison struggled at the beginning of the campaign but the 23-year-old has truly come into his own during the back half of the season.
So far this term, the loanee has scored six times and registered eight assists, bettering the tally he registered in his first season with the club by half a dozen involvements.
Although his end product sometimes leaves a little to be desired, there is no questioning the numbers he's racked up.
This term, he has been Leeds' best creative outlet. Of course, Pablo Hernandez has spent large periods out injured, but without him, they'd be far worse off.
£8m would be a snip for someone who knows and suits Bielsa's system perfectly.
