One moment two of their players are fighting on the pitch, and the next, they're shipping goals at will against Sheffield United.
Since football restarted, it's been a topsy-turvy time for the club, something that's hardly surprising given the current climate we find ourselves in.
Though, there's no escaping the rather mediocre job Jose Mourinho has done in north London.
Spurs currently sit eighth in the table, conceding a monumental 45 goals since the Portuguese was hired by Daniel Levy. He's hardly taking his side in the right direction.
Clearly, the Lilywhites need to strengthen in the transfer window once it opens, primarily in defence.
However, finding a deputy for Harry Kane is also required. Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik has been linked with a move from Serie A but now someone on the cheaper side has been touted with joining.
According to La Semaine (via Sport Witness), Tottenham are keen on signing a forward in Ligue 1.
That player happens to be Metz striker Habib Diallo.
Spurs were linked with a move for the 25-year-old in January with his agent admitting a bid had even been made by Levy and co.
The Senegalese has been touted with another switch to north London now, and it's suggested Tottenham are favourites to sign him.
Diallo has been in the goals this term, netting 12 times in all competitions.

In Diallo, Tottenham would find their man. The 6 foot 1 forward has won a considerable 4.3 aerial duels per game in France this term but despite that, Levy must be wary of operating in the French market again.
After all, it's an area where the club have failed to find too much successful talent in the past.
Spurs fans will know all too well about Tanguy Ndombele's failed time in London so far, while Etienne Capoue and Benjamin Stambouli didn't set the world alight after moving from Toulouse and Montpellier respectively.
Though, the biggest concern should fall at the feet of Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.
The winger arrived from Ligue 1 after netting 10 in 41 for Marseille but found life hard once moving to England.
The 25-year-old only found the back of the net on one occasion following his switch to the capital and Spurs will want to avoid a repeat scenario with Diallo.
Of course, he could adapt better to English conditions but Spurs' track record of luring players from France speaks for itself.
