We witnessed some glorious goals in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.In the 6pm kick off between Crystal Palace and Chelsea, Wilfried Zaha unleashed a 25-yard screamer in the first half that flew beyond Kepa Arrizabalaga.Then, Danny Welbeck got in on the act when he scored a bicycle kick that proved to be the winner for Watford in their win against Norwich City.Two very tasty goals - and possible candidates to win the 2019/20 Premier League Goal of the Season award.There have been many special strikes this season and we’ve decided to take a look at our 12 nominees for the prize.The list is unranked so just sit back and watch these brilliant efforts. And let us know what goals you think should have been included.Jordan Ayew - CRYSTAL PALACE vs West Ham, 26 December 2019Palace’s game against West Ham was headed for a 1-1 draw until Ayew did a madness in the 90th minute.He wriggled free of four West Ham defenders with a roulette spin and two swift touches, and even had the calmness to dink the ball over Roberto Jimenez.Just outstanding.
Mohamed Salah - LIVERPOOL vs Newcastle, 14 September 2019
Let’s start with Liverpool’s final goal in their 3-1 win against Newcastle last year.
Salah finished off a move that included a wonderful flick from Roberto Firmino.
With two touches, the Brazilian took out three defenders to put Salah in.
The Egyptian calmly finished things off.
Alireza Jahanbakhsh - BRIGHTON vs Chelsea, 1 January 2020
Jahanbakhsh will never forget this beauty on New Year's Day.
He snatched a point for Brighton against Chelsea with a breathtaking overhead kick.
The Iranian connected perfectly with the ball to leave Kepa rooted.
Douglas Luiz - Bournemouth vs ASTON VILLA, 17 August 2019
Luiz’s goal proved to be nothing more than a consolation strike, but it was still class.
The Brazilian collected the ball 25 yards out and sent a curling effort into the top corner.
To get so much speed on the ball with a curled hit is remarkable.
Harvey Barnes - Sheffield United vs LEICESTER CITY, 24 August 2019
Barnes has probably never struck a ball so well in his life.
Thankfully, Leicester posted a video showing the goal from 11 different angles.
Why not.
Moussa Djenepo - Sheffield United vs SOUTHAMPTON, 14 September 2019
Sheffield United just couldn’t stop Djenepo, who scored one of our favourite contenders.
The Malian clinched the winner with a goal that seemed impossible.
He showed strength to free himself from his marker and then jigged past him with some nice touches.
Djenepo then entered the Blades’ defence and dropped a shoulder before firing past Dean Henderson.
Jay Rodriguez - BURNLEY vs Chelsea, 26 October 2019
When you’re 4-0 down, sometimes you just decide to take a hit.
It seemed like Rodriguez’s long range effort was more out of desperation before the ball sailed into the net.
The forward was 30 yards when he let fly and watched as the ball sailed into the net.
Kevin De Bruyne - Newcastle vs MAN CITY, 30 November 2019
When the ball was cleared by Newcastle’s defence, De Bruyne’s eyes lit up.
It fell perfectly for him to chest the ball, let it bounce and they fire home a stunning half volley that crashed into the underside of the bar and in.
Imagine hitting a football like this…
Wilfried Zaha - CRYSTAL PALACE vs Chelsea, 7 July 2020
Zaha came up with a late contender when he produced a stunner during the Eagles' defeat to Chelsea.
Talk about a true strike.
Dele Alli - Man United vs TOTTENHAM, 4 December 2019
Quite an underrated goal, this, although that’s in part because Spurs went on to lose the game.
But Alli’s touch to control David de Gea’s save, which prompted the ball to fly high into the air, was outstanding, and he then steered the ball home.
It’s goals like this that make you realise how good professional footballers really are.
Son Heung-min - TOTTENHAM vs Burnley, 7 December 2019
This would be a deserving winner of the award.
Back in December, Son scored a remarkable solo goal after collecting the ball on the edge of his own area.
The Spurs’ forward left a trail of Burnley defenders in his wake before slotting the ball home.
He ran 80 yards in 12 seconds to score one of the best individual goals in Premier League history.
Anthony Martial - MAN UNITED vs Watford, 23 February 2020
We could have included Martial’s recent strike against Bournemouth but we went for his goal against Watford in February.
Honestly, how do I tell my grandkids that he scored from here?
The skill to position himself facing Watford’s goal was sublime and the finish was even better.
