Newcastle's takeover is into another week and still, we are no closer to discovering when Mike Ashley will finally leave.
PIF have been interested in the club for a while now and it's been over three months since they submitted their £300m bid to buy a stake in the Magpies.
Premier League chief Richard Masters suggested a resolution was soon to be discovered but now a week on from that, you have to wonder whether he was telling the truth.
There are a host of problems for PIF to overcome, not least the concerns from both Saudi and British MPs.
Both governments are clearly frustrated with the ongoing saga, but at the end of the day, the House of Commons have left it up to the top-flight to carry out the owners' and directors' test.
The saga has gone on so long that PIF are now reportedly interested in buying a stake in Ligue 1 side Marseille.
It's not too clear whether that'll have an impact on their plans to put money into Newcastle but clearly, a resolution needs to be identified.
Though, the largest issue in all of this has been piracy.
It's thought that Saudi Arabia and the Premier League are trying to negotiate a TV deal and it's this issue that's caused the most havoc in Mohammed Bin Salman's attempts to buy the club.
George Caulkin has been one of the go-to reporters when it's come to the takeover coverage and speaking about the piracy claims, he said it wasn't something that could be solved with a simple signature on a piece of paper.
Talking on the latest episode of the Athletic's Pod on the Tyne, he said:
"It clearly isn't acceptable that this piracy problem can exist and I think we've said before, it's not something that can just be solved by signing something on a bit of paper, it has to be a real process. I mean I've thought all along that as we go on, the buyer wants to buy, Mike actually wants to sell. It's in everybody's interest for this to happen.
"And so, it's about getting into a position where it can happen. I do think that's the sort of the way it's happened. We've used phrases like red flags, no red flags blah blah blah, but yet here we still are. But the point is that was nothing that stopped the deal from happening. And from the outset, it's been about working through things so I mean at the end of it I still think we get to the point. I'm still convinced we get to the point that it happens, but we just have to sit back, we just have to sit back and wait for that to actually play out."

This whole saga has become incredibly tiring.
If you told Newcastle supporters at the beginning of all of this that come July, Ashley would still be in charge, they'd have raced down to their local pub in a state of drunken depression.
The Toon Army have been protesting against his ownership for a long time, tearing up their season tickets and holding banners aloft.
Mark Douglas seems to think he'll be departing anyway but how long can all of this go on?
Steve Bruce's job at the club is uncertain with PIF possibly looking to go in a different direction, and if he goes, a number of their players will be worrying about their futures too.
None of this is healthy - there needs to be a solution as soon as possible.
