Edge made his stunning return to WWE at the Royal Rumble back in January.

The Rated-R Superstar had been away for so long. It's nine years, of course, since he retired back in 2011 due to neck injuries.

But after shocking fans with his appearance at the Rumble, Edge then confirmed the news that hardly any of us expected - he was back for good.

We've since seen him in a long-running storyline with Randy Orton and the two went to war at WrestleMania 36 and Backlash.

Unfortunately, while taping 'The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever' last month, Edge suffered a serious triceps injury that could keep him out until 2021.

It brings to an end his programme with Orton - but The Rated-R Superstar has vowed that his career isn't over. He'll be back.

In fact, he already knows which WWE stars he wants to wrestle upon his return - naming six he's desperate to get in the ring with.

Edge has six WWE opponents in mind

"Yeah, there's [Seth] Rollins, that's a gimme," Edge confirmed on ESPN's Cheap Heat Podcast, per WrestlingInc.

"There's AJ Styles. A guy like Cesaro, a guy like Shinsuke [Nakamura], Matt Riddle. I look at a guy like Ricochet - oh my God - I'd die to get in the ring with him."

Talk about dream matches. There probably isn't a WWE fan in the world who wouldn't want to see Edge work with any of those guys.

Edge vs Rollins has to be on the list

Of course, whether Vince McMahon will put him in a programme with any of those guys on his return remains to be seen.

There's still a story to be concluded between the Hall of Famer and Orton, given their feud was cut short by injury.

Edge and Orton could still meet again

But if WWE decide to scrap that, then surely, the likes of Rollins, AJ Styles or Cesaro would be next in line for Edge?
