Paul Pogba has struggled for minutes this season.
The Manchester United midfielder has made a total of 11 Premier League appearances in 2019/20, providing four assists.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, he had battled ankle issues, registering just two assists, in the club’s opening game of the season against Chelsea.
However, following the resumption of proceedings, he has played in all four games, laying on an assist against Tottenham Hotspur and one against Brighton & Hove Albion.
It appears, then, that the France international’s future may well be slightly clearer.
He is clearly a part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans and United have not lost in the four games that they have played, drawing with Spurs and beating Sheffield United, Brighton, and AFC Bournemouth.
Nevertheless, there remains interest in snaffling Pogba away from Old Trafford.
Sport Witness carries a report from Mundo Deportivo claiming that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is hoping to secure the midfielder’s signature.
The Frenchman is said to be insistent on signing the midfielder, though Real may not be able to afford him.
Real are said to be unlikely to make any major investments this summer due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He has a contract until 2021 though United can extend that by a further year should they want to.
Per Transfermarkt, Pogba is valued at £72 million.

Pogba is clearly an elite talent.
The 27-year-old has scored 31 goals and registered 33 assists across 155 games for United and is a serial trophy winner.
He has won Serie A four times, Coppa Italia twice, the Europa League twice, along with the EFL Cup and, of course, the World Cup.
It should be little surprise that Zidane is so hopeful of signing Pogba; he would improve their squad and give them a genuine Galactico signing.
But it is also understandable that Real may not be able to find the money to secure his signature.
It seems as though he will be remaining at Old Trafford for some time yet, regardless of Zidane's wishes.
