Juventus star goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon’s agent Silvano Martina has told reporters that his client will not be leaving Juventus, despite growing spectulation surrounding a possible move to Arsenal.

"I really don't understand why there are constant rumours regarding Buffon," Martina told

"He has two-and-a-half years left on his contract and he is more than happy at Juventus.''

Arsenal were reportedly interested in Buffon because of their current goalkeeping injury crisis, and thought the Italian international captain might be interested in making a move to Arsenal if reports were true about the 33 year old having to take a pay cut at his current club.

Italian news source The Repubblica in particular said sources had connected Buffon to either Arsenal or Roma.

While the star goalkeeper has only made 10 appearances for Juventus this season, this has been because of injury, and Buffon is likely to start again for the Old Lady this weekend.
