It’s been business as usual for Liverpool since they were beaten 4-0 by Manchester City in their first game after being crowned Premier League champions.Victories over Aston Villa and Brighton have puts the Reds in a great position to break City’s record for most points in a single top flight season.Jurgen Klopp has managed to reignite the motivation within his players and they now need nine points from their final four games to surpass City’s 100-point mark.Klopp described this team as “a f***ing bunch of mentality monsters” and it’s true. They’ve bounced back from last year’s disappointment of missing out on the title to romp to glory this time around.p1ecp855okrn4j5m13ilpkbl9i9.jpgA numbers of players have stepped up as leaders within the dressing room and one moment during the 3-1 win against Brighton on Wednesday highlighted that this is a team full of champions.Journalist Sam Cunningham reported hearing Virgil van Dijk for berating Liverpool's attackers for “getting f***ing lazy” in the 90th minute of the match.Cunningham tweeted: “Love that. 3-1 up, 90th minute. Title already won. Liverpool forwards aren't pressing Brighton's defenders. Van Dijk: ‘C’mon boys you're getting f***ing lazy!’

Mentality. Monsters.

You’ll be hard pushed to find another dressing room where players are pushed so hard.

Standards are not allowed to slip at Liverpool, that’s just the way it is.

So don’t be surprised if next season Liverpool come back and retain their title.

As for the points record, Klopp isn't interested.

"It's not important for me, I'm not interested in any of this but I want to win football games," he said per BBC Sport, typifying his attitude.

"For sports people in general it might be important. We are champions and it could be softening but it is not - the boys go with everything.

"We have 92 points and last season we had 97. We got five points more than this last season - that's unbelievable, I have no idea how we did that."
