The Champions League will truly get underway with the quarter-final draw tomorrow.
Although European football has been in full swing for almost two months now, it's hard to act as though the beautiful game is back in all its glory until the Champions League makes a return.
Regardless of whether you're a loyal Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A or La Liga follower, you've got to admit that there's a certain X factor about the pinnacle of European football.

Atalanta, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig have already booked themselves a place in the final eight, but there's another four second-leg ties to contest in the mean time.
Real Madrid vs Manchester City, Chelsea vs Bayern Munich, Lyon vs Juventus and Barcelona vs Napoli will all throw up plenty of drama before the final stages get underway in Lisbon.
And there will be shedloads of inspiration for the remaining teams to succeed Liverpool as European champions and ensure their place in history by lifting 'Big Ears' on August 23.

And as we wait patiently for that narrative to fire into action when the curtains reopen, we can't help but looking back to the past and the winners that precede the eventual 2019/20 winners.
It's no secret that Real Madrid are the most prolific winners with a cool 13 trophies to their name, though it would be short-sighted to limit the European elite to those at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid top the table
Six of Real's titles may have come before 1992, but that doesn't stop them finishing top of the table and it comes to the surprise of absolutely nobody.
Barcelona are the next best in Spanish football, Manchester United lead the way for the Premier League and the perpetually-unlucky Juventus are the top dogs on Italian shores.
Perhaps the biggest surprise comes with Arsenal's place in sixth, which seems to be a product of their consistency in the mid-2000s as opposed to actually regularly competing for the trophy.
Exciting times for European football
They can expect to be overtaken by Chelsea in the not too distant future, though probably not against Bayern, to add to their title as the only London club to ever lift the Champions League title.
Meanwhile, at the bottom of the table, let's have a moment of silence for Otelul Galati, 1. FC Kosice, MSK Zilina, Debreceni VSC and Levski Sofia as the only teams on zero points.
