The defender left Leicester officials 'stunned' when he turned down a new contract at the club this summer, enabling him to leave the Foxes for a compensation fee.
Rangers, as a result, are looking to pounce.

Gyamfi is hardly an eye-catching signing but he's very much one for the future. He's also a player they need.
Described as pacey, he is someone that loves to get forward, causing Manchester City's youth team plenty of problems in a game against them this season.
Although he's played just once for the U23 side, right-back is an area where Rangers need to improve and add more depth.
James Tavernier registers impressive numbers in attack, racking up 15 assists last term but he is questionable defensively.
