Wolves remain in a position to qualify for the Champions League.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side may have lost to Sheffield United on Wednesday but they remain sixth in the Premier League table, seven points behind fourth-placed Leicester City.

Their run-in comprises games against Everton, Burnley, Crystal Palace, and Chelsea, so there will surely be confidence at Molineux that points can be picked up and that gap can potentially close.

Indeed, they have enjoyed a superb season thus far, losing just eight games throughout the campaign.

That is a lower number than Manchester City, and is only bettered in the league by champions Liverpool.

Nevertheless, there remains the possibility that vultures will begin to circle as the summer transfer window looms.

And it appears that there is the possibility that one of the club’s standout stars could be snaffled away from the club in the coming market.

Both Manchester City and Juventus are said to hold an interest in the star as the months drag on.

Indeed, Wolves seemingly face a battle to keep Adama Traore at the club after a superb season.

The muscle-bound winger has scored four league goals this season and also provided nine assists as Wolves have shot up the table.

And SportMediaset, via Sport Witness, reports that Juve have included Traore on their shortlist for potential summer acquisitions.

They are joined in the queue for the former Barcelona youth product by City, with Pep Guardiola having worked with him while he was in the Barca academy.

Juve have already made an enquiry and Sport Witness quote other reports claiming he would cost around €80 million (£71.6m) to extricate from his current contract.

GIVEMESPORT’S Harry Sherlock says…

This is the price of success in the Premier League.

Wolves have taken a few onlookers by surprise this season, just by virtue of their exceptional performances and the fact that they remain in with a shout of Champions League football.

They have also progressed to the last 16 of the Europa League, too, and drew the first leg, away from home, with Olympiacos.

Traore has been central to their rise up the table; his direct running, superb technique, and quick turns of pace make him a genuine nightmare for defenders to deal with.

If he made the move to a club like City or Juve he would surely fit right in.

Wolves will have to fight tooth and nail to keep him.
