Manchester United are on an incredible run of form right now.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are now unbeaten in 17 matches in all competitions and are just one point behind Leicester in fourth.

Paul Pogba is back, Bruno Fernandes is on fire and then there’s Mason Greenwood.

After beating Aston Villa 3-0 on Thursday, United became the first side in Premier League history to win four consecutive games by a margin of 3+ goals.

Suddenly, thoughts have turned to next season.

Could United challenge for the Premier League title next season?

With four matches remaining in this campaign, the Red Devils find themselves a massive 34 points behind champions Liverpool.

Can they close that gap and challenge Liverpool and Manchester City in the 2020/21 season?

Well, club legend Paul Scholes - who is usually pretty critical when it comes to his former side - suggests those two clubs will already be ‘worrying’ about the form of United ahead of next season.

“Is it time for a couple of teams to start worrying about this team?” Scholes wrote on Instagram. “I have a hunch they might be already."

Are Liverpool really worried about a side 34 points behind them?

Their fans certainly aren’t as they reacted to Scholes’ comments on social media.

GIVEMESPORT’s Rob Hoskin says:

There’s no doubt that United are the most in-form side in the Premier League right now.

Looking at the last 10 matches, United sit top of the form table with seven wins and three draws.

Pogba and Fernandes have formed an incredible partnership and Greenwood is a generational talent.

But let’s just take a look at the teams they’ve beaten since the restart: Sheffield United (3-0), Norwich (2-1 AET), Brighton (3-0), Bournemouth (5-2) and Aston Villa (3-0).

Norwich, Bournemouth and Villa look set to be relegated, while Brighton will only survive by the skin of their teeth.

Let’s judge them when they face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final next season, shall we?

Defensively, they simply can’t compare to Liverpool.

David de Gea is no Alisson. Harry Maguire is no Virgil van Dijk. Luke Shaw is no Andy Robertson.

Not to mention the Reds are 34 points clear of them while being champions of England, Europe and the world.

We’re pretty sure Liverpool aren’t too worried just yet....
