With the new video recently being dropped for the gameplay overview trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, this has made people want to do some research of their own into Vikings and into the game itself.
One of the discoveries fans have made is that Viking’s often took cats with them on their longboats, and to the surprise of many, it turns out you can in fact take cats on raids with you in the game.
The idea of cats in Norse mythology comes from the goddess of love Freyja, who had two cats which pulled her chariot.
While raiding along the coast of ninth century England, you can sail up to settlements and attack with your full clan to bring back treasures to your camp.
While this happens, the cat you have hired unfortunately stays put in the boat.
To be fair to the cat, it’s most probably for the best as throwing axes are not currently known to be a cat’s best friend.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is the newest game in the series of popular games from Ubisoft, and focuses on the Viking attack of England.

The initial reaction is good and it is expected it will do just as well as the other Assassin’s Creed games, however, the newest gameplay overview trailer has had it’s fair share of criticism with 1.4k dislikes.
Despite this, the trailer also had a little over 6k likes.
So it's clear that dogs are a man's best friend, but it must be said that cats are a Viking's best friend.
When you get your mitts on the new game, make sure you find yourself a cute little friend to travel the seas with you.
