WWE made a massive u-turn on talent and audience members wearing masks at the Performance Center earlier this month.
Until July 3, wearing coverings as a precaution against coronavirus was not mandatory, with reports even suggesting some higher-ups backstage were even against it.
But that changed a few weeks ago when Vince McMahon was confronted over safety by a member of the roster.
WWE is now issuing fines of $500 for any talent or employee not wearing a mask, except for when on camera. The punishment for a second offence is reportedly $1000.
There's no doubt everyone inside the Performance Center should be feeling a little more protected now - and they have Kevin Owens to thank for that.
According to WWE's French-language commentator Pat Laprade, it was KO who confronted McMahon over concerns he had on July 3, leading to a change in policy.
On the Les anti-pods de la Lutte podcast, Laprade reports that Owens told Vince he was not comfortable with the lack of masks being worn by people in the WWE PC.
The RAW star was also concerned about people being too close to each other and told the boss that he was going home, due to concerns he had over COVID-19.
Laprade suggests that McMahon then asked Owens what he wanted him to do and KO responded by saying Vince is the only person the WWE crew will listen to.
Thankfully, the boss then took action, instigating a new policy and Owens stayed for the taping once he saw that people were starting to wear masks and respect social distancing rules.

With masks now mandatory and social distancing rules respected, more people should now feel comfortable coming to the Performance Center during the coronavirus pandemic.
It's just a shame it took so long for the company to put a proper policy in place.
