WWE news: AJ Styles addresses rumours he was bullied off RAW and calls Paul Heyman a 'liar'

AJ Styles was recently traded from RAW to SmackDown.

When the switch was first announced, fans quickly jumped to all kinds of conclusions.

Had AJ fallen out with the locker room? Had he left because his close friends Gallows and Anderson were released? Was Paul Heyman to blame?

Then there were some outrageous suggestions that his political and 'Flat Earther' beliefs had led to him being bullied out of RAW.

Speaking last week, Styles moved to put a number of those rumours to bed and addressed them during an online stream.

"There were some rumours going around that AJ Styles left RAW to go to SmackDown because he was being bullied," he said during his recent Mixer stream, per WrestlingNews.

"That may be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I’m a grown man. If there was some bullying going on that upset me enough to leave RAW and go to SmackDown, I would handle it."

As well as putting to bed any doubt he was 'bullied' off the red brand, Styles went on to address another rumour, about him being upset with Heyman over the release of Gallows and Anderson.

"The rumour about Paul Heyman and me being upset with him because he didn’t take up for Gallows and Anderson before they got released, that’s not what it was at all," he continued.

"Not even close. I’ll give you a snippet of what me, Gallows and Anderson already know.

"He’s a liar, now you know. I’m sure you’ve heard that before if you go back to his ECW days, you’ll hear that. He’s a bold-faced liar. That’s my take on that."

It's not often one of WWE's top stars will speak so openly about rumours, but Styles certainly must have felt he needed to get some things off his chest.

So fair play to him for doing that. The Phenomenal One has made it pretty clear he's not a 'Paul Heyman Guy' but what exactly makes the producer a 'liar' is not really clear.

AJ is now, of course, doing very well on SmackDown. He's the Intercontinental Champion and will put the belt on the line this Friday against Matt Riddle. Now that's going to be must-see.
