Paris Saint-Germain plotting summer move for Man Utd star Marcus Rashford

PSG manager Thomas Tuchel is a BIG fan of Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford has enjoyed the best season of his career in 2019/20.

The Englishman has excelled on the left of Manchester United's attack, scoring 21 goals and assisting another 10 in his 38 games across all competitions.

Along with Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood, the Red Devils have an attacking trio that is currently up there with the best in world football.

However, with such great form comes potential negatives, mostly in the form of the prying eyes of Europe's elite.

Rashford has been linked with a number of high-profile clubs in the past, with Barcelona reportedly attempting to sign him last summer.

Rashford in action

This time around, it's Paris Saint-Germain who have their eyes fixated on United's local hero and they've made him their top transfer target.

According to the Independent, PSG manager Thomas Tuchel has told senior figures at the club that those in England “don’t realise how good a player Rashford actually is”.

The United man's versatility and selfless playing style has even got the German considering Rashford as an option to replace Kylian Mbappe in the future.

Tuchel has also said the Englishman is “the perfect model of the modern dynamic attacking player”.

Tuchel with PSG

High praise indeed. However, Tuchel's love for Rashford may not count for anything, because we all know how much the 22-year-old adores playing for United.

His current contract also runs until 2023, meaning United would ask for north of £100m to part ways with one of their prized possessions.

Given the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, even PSG would struggle to match that figure.

At the moment, it all looks like hopeful interest from the Ligue 1 champions and you have to ask yourself; why would Rashford ditch United right now?

Rashford vs Southampton

The current team assembled by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the best of Rashford's young career and the sky really is the limit for the Red Devils at the time of writing.

This looks like one transfer that PSG can't just throw money at to get it over the line.
