What a season it could be for Leeds United.

With the Whites currently sitting at the top of the Championship it seems that promotion is very much on the cards.

If they can get themselves over the line it would end a 16-year exile from the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are just a few points from wrapping up their promotion, and that means that attention will now turn to the summer transfer market.

If they're to survive in the Premier League they'll need new additions and it seems that one new target has emerged.

That man is Amer Gojak.

According to Nicolo Schira, the Dinamo Zagreb midfield is a top target for the Whites this summer.

Valued at £4.95million by Transfermarkt, the 23-year-old is attracting plenty of attention from around Europe.

However it's Leeds United and Everton who are said to be leading the way for his signature.

The Toffees recently sent scouts to watch the midfielder after learning of his impressive season for Dinamo Zabreb where he scored five and created five this term.

Leeds are seemingly keen to sign an attacking midfielder after being linked with Emi Buendia.

With Norwich City now relegated to the Championship there's every chance that the creative midfielder could be keen on making a move to Elland Road.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

This could be a smart move for Leeds United.

Amer Gojak enjoys a growing reputation on the continent and looks destined to secure a move to one of Europe's biggest leagues this summer.

A switch to the Premier League would be ideal for him.

Should Leeds United get promoted, they would be the ideal place for the 23-year-old to make his name in the English game in a system that could suit him perfectly.

Providing that a deal can be agreed with his club, this is definitely one to watch.
