Everton are struggling.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have been in remarkably poor form in recent weeks, and were thumped by Wolves at the weekend.
That 3-0 defeat came after a draw with Southampton and a dispiriting defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in north London.
The results leave the club 11th in the Premier League table, though they are six points behind Burnley with just three games of the season remaining.
It means that they are more likely to be targeting a top-10 finish, instead of qualifying for the Europa League or the Champions League.
However, their summer plans are already beginning to take shape as the transfer window looms.
A number of exits are likely as Ancelotti’s men look to raise funds for potential signings this summer.
One such man set to leave is Mo Besic, per The Liverpool Echo, although he spent the season on loan at Sheffield United.
Besic has not played for the club since 2017, instead turning out for the Blades, where he made 13 appearances and scored once.
Everton paid £4 million to sign the midfielder in 2014 from Ferencvaros, but he has made just 56 appearances for the club in six years.
He has also spent time on loan at Middlesbrough but he is poised to leave this summer, with his sights set on staying in the Premier League.
He left Sheffield United upon the expiration of his loan deal and his wages are now being paid by the Merseyside club.
Besic’s current deal expires at the end of next season and it seems as though a transfer may be in the offing in the coming months.

Besic has struggled for minutes at both Everton and the Blades.
This season, he made just two starts for Chris Wilder’s side and one has to wonder whether any club will be willing to take him on.
He is 27 and should be approaching his peak but this may be the last chance Everton have to receive a fee for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.
He is valued at £2.1 million by Transfermarkt and he currently earns £30,000-per-week at Goodison Park, per Spotrac.
Moving him on has to be a priority in this transfer window.
