Gareth Bale claimed the 13th trophy of his Real Madrid career on Thursday night as Los Blancos sealed the 2019/20 La Liga title. The Welshman has made 16 appearances in the league this season, scoring twice. While he would have liked to have been involved more, he’s fully earned that winners’ medal. But the winger has sat in the stands for the last six matches and his behaviour suggests he no longer wants to be at the club. That much could also be seen in the title celebrations after Real’s 2-1 win against Villarreal. Bale, on his 31st birthday, couldn’t have looked more awkward if he tried. So, in honour of Bale’s carefree attitude, we’ve decided to look at X times Bale proved he simply doesn’t care about the club that pays him £350,000-per-week.He’s literally been trolling the biggest club in the world for years - and he couldn’t care less.

Not learning Spanish

Bale has been in Spain for seven years and it’s claimed he still doesn’t speak Spanish. Has he attempted to learn it or can he just not be bothered. This clip involving Luka Modric last year suggests it’s the latter.

Nicknamed the ‘golfer’

Bale’s nickname among his Real teammates is the ‘golfer’ because he’s always on the golf course. You’ll realise just how much he loves golf throughout this list…

He was angry he missed the golf and had to play vs Levante

In February 2019, Bale turned up at the Levante stadium watching golf’s WGC-Mexico Championship on his phone. And El Chiringuito host Josep Pedrerol said that Bale’s apparent anger during the match was because he had to miss the climax of the tournament.

“Bale was angry. Do you know why he was so angry? Because he was missing the golf. Bale was so mad because he was missing the golf which was happening at the same time as the game. Bale likes golf. He doesn't care about football… or Real Madrid either.”

Blocking out the haters

As early as 2015, Bale was getting criticism from Real Madrid fans after his form and injury struggles. When he scored twice against Levante in March 2015, he celebrated by covering his ears. He wasn’t listening - and continued not listening for the next five years.

Pretending to use binoculars during a game

On Monday, Real Madrid took a giant step towards the La Liga title with a win over Granada. Was Bale watching? Not really. He was on the substitutes bench, pretending that a roll of tape were binoculars.

Practising his golf swing in training

He literally doesn’t care, does he? After criticism that he plays too much golf, he decided to joke around by practising his swing. Superb.

Missed a team dinner because it was past his bedtime

The entire Real Madrid squad arranged to meet for a meal but, according to Thibaut Courtois, Bale said it was passed his bedtime.

“Bale had told us ‘I am not coming to join you, guys. I go to bed at 11,’” revealed Courtois.

Missing the Audi Cup to play golf

Bale was left out of Real Madrid’s 2019 Audi Cup squad after a big-money move to China collapsed. But instead of working hard in training to save his Real Madrid career, he took to the golf course at the exact same time Real played his former club, Tottenham.

Pretending to sleep on the bench

You’ve just got to applaud this level of sh**housery.

Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order.

Bale must’ve known images of him dancing with that flag would make front and back pages in Spain. The fact he still did it with a great big smile on his face makes it even better.
