The Premier League is a better place for Leeds United's promotion.
It seems mind-boggling that the Whites have been away from England's top tier for 16 years now despite having one of the biggest fanbases in the country.
That's not to mention their rich history of winning the top division on no less than three occasions, including the final title before the 1992 rebranding to the current Premier League model.

But aside from their partisan supporters and the stunning Elland Road, one of the most exciting aspects of Leeds returning to the big time is the old rivalries it reopens.
It's gutting that recent generations never had the pleasure of seeing classic Leeds matches against traditional Premier League giants that aren't FA Cup or League Cup drubbings.
And while there's no denying clashes with Sheffield United and Liverpool will be tasty, we're probably not alone in being most excited for the return of Leeds vs Manchester United ties.

Sure, Leeds famously won at Old Trafford in the cup and United have exacted revenge since, but let's not pretend that they're the same as a full-blown league meeting.
And it's clear that one of United's star men is buzzing for Leeds' return because Marcus Rashford was quick to congratulate the Yorkshire side on their promotion from the Championship.
Such was the dramatic nature of West Brom's defeat at Huddersfield Town, the result that confirmed Leeds' achievement, that it was easy to miss certain tweets in the avalanche of reaction.

So, it's remarkable that a few eagle-eyed fans managed to screenshot Rashford's congratulatory tweet because, for reasons unknown, he decided to take it down a few seconds later.
Per the Mirror, the hastily removed post read: "As a United fan I'm happy to see Leeds United back in the Premier League where they belong @LUFC"

Let's make one thing abundantly clear: Rashford is a class, class act and tweeting his congratulations was further proof of that.
What Rashford has achieved both on and off the pitch since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic has been nothing short of incredible and his social media communication has been key to that.
Obviously, this doesn't mean taking down the tweet is in anyway 'unclassy', I don't mean that by any stretch, I guess it's just curious that there was any need for the post to come down.
Everyone's best guess is that the tweet received a backlash from United supporters during its short lifespan or that somebody advised Rashford that it was in his best interest to hit delete.
Does the 'where they belong' comment push it too far? Look, this isn't WWE, the man is allowed to be complimentary to rival clubs, but it would naive of me not to admit that certain fans would take umbrage with that.
But deleted or not, the screenshots are just further proof that Rashford is a national treasure.
