Lewis Hamilton has won the Hungarian Grand Prix after a dominant performance from start to finish. The Brit went into today's Grand Prix on pole after a convincing display during qualifying on Saturday, and then the weekend got even better for him when he secured yet another win and also secured the fastest lap of the race.Coming in at second was Dutchman and Red Bull ace Max Verstappen, who remarkably crashed during the parade ahead of the race, and in third was Hamilton's teammate Valtteri Bottas.Hamilton's success today means he's now won the Hungarian Grand Prix a remarkable eight times, which just goes to show how dominant he and Mercedes have been in recent seasons.Rounding off the top 10 this afternoon was: Lance Stroll, Alexander Albon, Sebastian Vettel, Sergio Perez, Daniel Ricciardo, Kevin Magnussen and Carlos Sainz.Since the restart, we've seen three races and three wins from Mercedes, with Bottas winning the Austrian GP and Hamilton winning the Styrian Grand Prix and today's race.

With every passing race now, Hamilton is being compared to F1 legend Michael Schumacher, and the Brit took yet another step to beating the German's record of 91 race wins.

Hamilton now has 86 to his name, meaning he is just five away from equalling the seemingly unbeatable record.

It's just not that record, however, as Hamilton has now equalled Schumacher's record for most wins at a single Grand Prix. He has won eight times in Hungary.

Speaking after the race, the winner said: "It was one of my favourite races. I was on my own but we had great pace and a perfect strategy. The last two races have been fantastic for me and we need to keep it up."

Coming in at second, despite the drama before the race, Verstappen said: “Not how I wanted it at the beginning. The mechanics did an amazing job to fix the car. To pay them back with second place - I was pleased with that. To be able to split the two Mercedes is good for us."
