It wasn’t a great weekend for Manchester clubs at Wembley this weekend, was it?On Saturday evening, Manchester City suffered a shock 2-0 loss at the hands of Arsenal in the first semi-final.The second semi-final between Chelsea and Manchester United was a lot tougher to call. However, it wasn’t exactly a closely-fought encounter.Chelsea ran out comfortable 3-1 winners, becoming the first side to beat United since Burnley back in January.A first half stoppage time goal from Olivier Giroud gave Frank Lampard’s side the lead before Mason Mount made it 2-0 just after half-time.p1edkk4b4jcot1aoej1f1jsqa3f.jpgA Harry Maguire own goal ended the contest and put the Blues 3-0 to the good. A late Bruno Fernandes penalty was nothing more than a consolation. At least the Portuguese midfielder continued his incredible goalscoring form since his move to United. He’s now scored nine goals in his 18 appearances in all competitions.p1edkk5olv32q15fcu8r1udd1sjuh.jpgBut Fernandes didn’t make headlines for his penalty.Instead, he went viral for a rather disappointing moment during the first half.On the half hour mark, Fernandes went down under Mateo Kovacic’s challenge. However, replays showed there very minimal contact - if any - and it was actually a ridiculous dive. Why clutch your leg in agony?Check it out:

It’s not the first time Fernandes has been involved in a diving incident. Earlier this month against Aston Villa, Fernandes won his side a penalty by standing on Ezri Konsa ankle and went down clutching his shin.

Somehow, he was awarded a penalty for it.

Meanwhile last month, he went down under Eric Dier’s challenge during the June clash against Tottenham and was initially awarded a spot-kick. However, replays showed there was no contact at all and the decision was overturned.

After the match, Spurs boss and compatriot Jose Mourinho knew Fernandes had taken a dive.

"Fernandes comes from a country that I know well," Mourinho said.

"The second one was incredible for me. If VAR goes for simulation, the players could be exposed and given a yellow card."
