Liverpool’s players will lift the Premier League trophy at Anfield on Wednesday evening following their final home game of the season against Chelsea.Almost one month after sealing their first league title since 1990, Jordan Henderson and co. will finally get their hands on the trophy that the club’s fans have craved for three decades.“Tomorrow is different, it’s a little bit like Christmas: if you already know you’re getting a specific present before you have it there’s still some excitement! And we are very excited about that!” Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said in a press conference on Tuesday.“I’ve never touched a Premier League trophy before for obvious reasons, that will be special.“I’m delighted the boys have this moment because they deserve it more than anybody else, they work incredibly hard and deal with so many setbacks in the last few years.“We won the title this season but prepared it the last two or three years so it was a really long run-up to this moment.“It will be 100 per cent emotional again but how emotional? I don’t know, that’s how it is with emotions—you have to wait until you feel them.”
It will inevitably be a little strange and bittersweet for Klopp and his players to lift the trophy without fans present inside the stadium.However, families of the squad will be able to attend the trophy presentation, according to the Liverpool Echo, after the Premier League granted the Reds special dispensation.Those inside the stadium - as well as the millions of fans watching on TV - can look forward to a spectacle.Here’s the podium where Liverpool’s players will lift the trophy…

It promises to be an emotional night at Anfield and one that the players, coaching staff and, of course, the fans will never forget - even if they are watching on TV instead of inside the stadium.
“If anyone reads this column or these words prior to the evening of the match, I cannot say clearly enough it is critically important you stay away from Anfield and enjoy celebrating with us in your own way, at home,” Henderson has written for the programme notes, per Liverpool’s official website.
“The city of Liverpool has been hit hard by COVID-19 and it’s important we support our healthcare heroes – the emergency services and key workers – by listening to the advice and staying away from gatherings which aren’t safe.
“I promise you: we will feel you with us when we lift that trophy, even though you’re not at Anfield in person. We are lifting it for you – you’ve driven us to achieving this dream. But this club’s values are about taking care of each other and that means supporting us from home and in safe environments.”
If Liverpool win their final two matches, against Chelsea and Newcastle, they will end the season with 99 points.
