Liverpool ended their 30-year wait to win the league title by claiming the Premier League title. It was an agonising wait for everyone associated with the Reds. So accustomed to success during the 1970s and 1980s, they suddenly went three decades without being champions of England.Thankfully, the club have been able to keep fans satisfied with other major titles. They won the Champions League in 2005 and 2019 and won the FA Cup three years between their 1990 and 2020 league titles. For some supporters, the wait to see their team win a trophy has been much more difficult.Newcastle United, for example, haven’t won anything since 1955, when they won the FA Cup.That’s 65 years. Sixty-five!And that’s not even the longest a current Premier League club has waited for their most recent major honour. We’ve decided to take a look at the last time each top flight outfit hoisted a major trophy. We’ve included the League Cup, as well as the league title, FA Cup, the Champions League/European Cup, European Cup Winner’s Cup or UEFA Cup/Europa League.LiverpoolLast major title: 2020 (Premier League)

So four teams don’t qualify for the list, having failed to win any of the major trophies listed above.
Those poor, poor Sheffield United fans, though. Ninety-five is an excruciatingly long time to wait for a major honour.
The list shows how difficult it has been for teams to break the dominance of the biggest clubs in the modern era.
Indeed, Tottenham have been waiting 12 years for a significant honour. And that was a League Cup, which pales in importance compared to the league and FA Cup.
Newcastle's lengthy wait is also a big surprise.
With such a strong fanbase, we were struck when we realised it's been 65 years since the Magpies lifted an important trophy.
If the club can secure a big-money takeover, which has been mooted for several months now, that drought will surely be snapped when the chequebook is brought out.
