Willian’s future remains in doubt.
The Chelsea winger has a contract that expires at the end of the season and he has been playing like a man possessed in recent weeks.
The Brazil international has scored four goals in eight games since the resumption of Premier League proceedings, and has also registered two assists.
He will need to continue that form this weekend if Chelsea are to qualify for the Champions League.
Indeed, they need to beat Wolves on Sunday to ensure that they will be playing in Europe’s elite club competition next season, given that they lie just a point clear of fifth-placed Leicester City in fourth.
There have been plenty of reports surrounding a potential destination for the winger this summer.
Indeed, Football Insider claimed earlier this month that Tottenham Hotspur have already made an offer for the 31-year-old, while also offering him a major signing-on fee.
He has also reportedly rejected a move to David Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami, per The Daily Telegraph, and there is now a new bidder.
That’s Arsenal, with ESPN Brasil journalist Bruno Vicari claiming on Twitter that a move across London is gathering pace.
He wrote: “Willian at Arsenal is getting hotter and hotter.
“Chelsea are still trying to negotiate to secure the Brazilian, but there are people in the Gunners who are very optimistic about signing (him)”.
It remains to be seen if Spurs will attempt to gazump Arsenal; they could have the carrot of European football to dangle after this weekend.
Ironically enough, they will be hoping that Willian turns it on too, as they need Chelsea to take points off Wolves on Sunday to guarantee a sixth-placed finish and qualification for the Europa League.

This is a bit of a strange one for Arsenal.
They have plenty of options on the wing and signing Willian would only place a strain on the pathway between their academy and the first-team.
The Gunners have Nicolas Pepe and Reiss Nelson, who can both play there, as can Bukayo Saka, although he is predominantly used at left-back.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles is another option and there is one thing uniting the quartet; they are all below the age of 26.
A move for Willian, then, doesn’t really make that much sense.
He will turn 32 next month, and securing his signature isn’t likely to actually strengthen Mikel Arteta’s starting XI.
This deal just doesn't make logical sense.
