Mike Tyson's boxing comeback has been announced as part of his new venture named the 'Legends Only League'.Iron Mike has been teasing a return to the ring in recent months and his first fight back will be against the legendary Roy Jones Jr.The the two will fight in an eight-round exhibition in Carson, California with no headgear and bigger gloves.Yahoo Sports' Kevin Iole was the first to confirm the shock news, tweeting: "Big news: @MikeTyson is coming back."He will fight @RealRoyJonesJr in an eight-round exhibition match. Heard there will be boxer vs MMA fighters on undercard. Looks like it will be in Cali. Don't have the date yet."

As per Yahoo, September 12 has now been set as the date for the fight, with the bout to be held at Dignity Health Sports Park and available to watch on Triller and PPV.

So how will the exhibition bout work? Sadly, the two boxing legends will not be desperately seeking a knockout when they meet in the ring.

“This isn’t a situation where they’re going out there to try to take each other’s heads off,” Andy Foster, the executive director of the California State Athletic Commission, said.

“They’re just going to be in there moving around the ring and letting fans see these legends.”

Tyson's last fight was 15 years ago against Kevin McBride, a bout which saw the iconic American sadly retire on his stool.

As for Jones Jr. - who won world titles in four weight divisions - his last activity in the boxing game was back in 2018 when he beat Scott Sigmon by a unanimous decision.

However, despite Jones Jr. fighting at a professional standard some 13 years after Tyson's retirement, you still wouldn't bet against Iron Mike.

The 54-year-old has looked in incredible shape in his various workout videos ahead of this much-anticipated comeback.
