Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Willian says it is his dream to play for Barcelona, according to Ona FM.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a number of club after impressing for the Russian outfit in the Champions League this season.

But after fellow Brazilian Denilson urged Willian to join Arsenal, it's Barcelona he says he'd prefer to play for, at the expense of Chelsea and Liverpool.

"If I leave Shakhtar for another team at one point, it would be a dream come true to join Barcelona. They're the best team in the world in my opinion."

His comments come as a blow to Chelsea and Liverpool, who were looking to sign the midfielder to help boost their Barclays Premier League title challenge.

Rated at £22 million in many reports, Willian can provide a great attacking force in midfield, a position both Chelsea and Liverpool could do with after both sides struggled in the latter half of the season.

However, the stumbling block for The Reds could whether they could offer Willian Champions League football next season.

The club are currently off the pace in the race for fourth position, while Chelsea are all but guaranteed a top four finish.
