Liverpool had plenty to celebrate after their 5-3 victory over Chelsea on Wednesday night.

The thrilling affair at Anfield finally brought an end to Liverpool's one-month wait to get their hands on the Premier League trophy, the very accolade that has evaded them for almost 30 years.

And although the tens of thousands of Liverpool fans that would otherwise have been in attendance had to stay at home, there was still an incredible atmosphere when the celebrations got underway.

Liverpool celebrate their title win

Jordan Henderson delivered his trademark 'shuffle' before lifting the trophy with music blaring, lighting shining across the pitch and red ticker tape raining down on the players.

There was then an opportunity for all of the squad and staff to really take in the moment down on the pitch, parading about the trophy and singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' together.

Amongst these celebrations was none other than midfielder Fabinho, one of Liverpool's shining lights for great swathes of the campaign and one of Europe's very best in his role.

Fabinho suffers home raid

The 26-year-old could be seen posing for photos with fellow Brazilians Roberton Firmino and Alisson Becker and wrote on Instagram: "No words can describe. Living a dream. Champions!"

However, what was a celebratory evening in the life of Fabinho turned out to be an incredibly sad one, too, after news emerged that his house had been burgled during the celebrations.

Thieves broke into the Brazilian's home on the day Liverpool lifted the trophy with the crime being discovered upon the occupant's return to the property.

An Audi RS6 and items of jewellery were stolen during the raid in Formby, which Merseyside Police estimated to have taken place some time between 15:00 on Wednesday and 4:00 on Thursday.

The car was later discovered in Wigan, but there's no word on the efforts to find the perpetrators.
