Manchester United have arguably been the most impressive side since the Premier League's restart.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have blown away opposing teams, with Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood all excelling.

But while the starting XI is evolving into one of the best in Europe, United fans are understandably concerned by the lack of squad depth at the club.

In the 1-1 draw against West Ham, the Red Devils' big-hitters looked knackered for much of the game, but Solskjaer was reluctant to turn to the bench.

Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and many others waiting in the wings just simply aren't good enough and if the manager wants to rotate effectively next season, United will have to spend this summer.

Lingard with Man Utd

That's something we all know they're going to do and a new name is being linked with a switch to Old Trafford; Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman.

The Athletic report that the two clubs are already 'in talks' over the deal and Coman is said to be keen to join fellow countrymen Martial and Paul Pogba.

However, Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho will remain the club's number one target for the summer.

United are open to a loan or permanent move for Coman and his arrival would add quality depth to Solskjaer's attacking department.

Coman in action

The Bayern winger's 2019/20 season was disrupted by injury, but the 24-year-old still managed four goals and four assists in just 1,500 minutes of Bundesliga action.

They're not the greatest figures in the world, but you have to remember that Mata and Lingard have combined for a grand total of zero goals and two assists in 2019/20.

United cannot carry passengers if they're to progress as a team, especially with the prospect of Champions League football next season.

If Bayern are willing to part ways with Coman this summer for a reasonable price, the Red Devils have absolutely no reason to turn their noses up at the deal.

Coman warms up

Forget his unfortunate injury record, the guy is a class act.
