There will have been some concerns at Manchester United when they decided to let Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez leave last summer. Both had their difficulties at Old Trafford in the 2018/19 season - Sanchez especially - but there was every chance that the Red Devils might regret letting them go.Lukaku pushed for a move, and United managed to get £73 million for him.But his goalscoring record was still very impressive and at the age of 26, United were selling a striker who hadn’t even reached his prime years.Sanchez, meanwhile, was only two years removed from his 30-goal season with Arsenal when Man United sent him out on loan.p1ee3uebtr6rfcpln43kudhsob.jpgMan United won’t feel like they’ve missed the pair, though. Their attacking trio of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood have enjoyed a remarkable campaign, scoring 60 goals combined. But still, they’ll be very interested in what’s currently happening over in Milan.Sanchez and Lukaku are enjoying life right now, with the pair shining for Antonio Conte’s side. Both were on the scoresheet as Inter defeated Genoa 3-0 on Saturday evening. Lukaku headed home the first goal, Sanchez made it 2-0 with a close-range finish and the Belgian completed the win late on with a fine individual finish.Sanchez, 31, has now been directly involved in 10 Serie A goals since football in Italy returned. In 11 games, he’s scored three goals and provided seven assists.Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be pleased to see the Chilean rediscovering his best form.

Lukaku, meanwhile, is enjoying his most prolific season in front of goal.

He’s scored more goals across all competitions this season (28) than he has in any other campaign in his career.

It’s easy to wonder whether Man United let him leave too soon.

His talent was always there, and his record in Manchester wasn’t terrible.

But the former Chelsea and Everton striker got his wish after forcing his exit.

"Ole wanted me to stay, but I told him I was over. I didn't have the energy,” Lukaku told Ian Wright earlier this year, per Sky Sports.

“All credit to him because he's been a man and he helped me make the move away."

Lukaku will have no regrets about leaving. He’s taken Italy by storm and it’s great to see him enjoying his football again.
