Big E is an absolutely brilliant wrestler.
A key member of the New Day since 2014, the superstar appears set for a major singles push.
Xavier Woods is currently injured, while Kofi Kingston is also set to go on the shelf, missing up to six weeks.
It means that there’s plenty of WWE programming on the slate that won’t feature either Kofi or Xavier, and leaves Big E as the only member of the faction on television.
Kofi even spoke to his stablemate and his best friend on Friday night’s SmackDown, giving him his blessing to chase that brass ring and attempt to follow in his footsteps.
Kingston, after all, won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35, beating Daniel Bryan, and going on to have a superb run with the belt.

It appears as though Big E could get that chance, although it is more likely to be for the Universal Championship, given that Drew McIntyre is WWE Champion and he wrestles on Monday Night Raw.
And it seems as though he has plenty of support from the wrestling community.
Mick Foley posted a video on Twitter about the possibility of Big E lifting the biggest prize in the company.
He said: “I’ve been thinking about this upcoming singles run he’s going to have and I really believe WWE is in unprecedented times. Ratings have been dropping and it’s time to make a bold statement and go with a couple of really talented guys, people we’ve had all along.
“When it comes to being successful, it’s really about having the ability and the willingness to shift gears and get out of your comfort zone just a little bit. So the way I see it, Big E’s been in this really enjoyable, very successful, holding pattern for a few years.
"New Day is one of the great acts in WWE history, they always will be looked upon that way, but I believe, and I don’t want to overdo the racing metaphors, but if Big E can shift into high gear and really put the foot down on the accelerator, and remind people the work it took to look the way he does, that you don’t get to be one of the most powerful men the sport has ever known through good humour alone and charisma.
“This is a guy who worked his butt off. I believe that if he can show a different side of himself, a little bit more seriousness, a little bit more anger when the situation calls for it, that he would go down in history as one of the great WWE superstars. I hope that it happens. It’s all about stepping your foot on the accelerator and I believe he can do it.”
Foley, of course, has plenty of experience in the field, holding the WWF Championship three times throughout his career.
His is the kind of seal of approval you desperately need if you are to succeed in the business; Big E will surely be delighted with his words.
