Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh could move back to France with Marseille after a frustrating first season at the Emirates Stadium, according to talkSPORT.
The Moroccan scored eight goals at the start of the season, but since the return of Robin Van Persie his opportunities have been limited.
But with first-team starts at a premium, the 27-year-old might be ready to move back to Ligue 1, as Arsenal look elsewhere for attacking talent.
The forward signed from Bordeaux on a free last summer but hasn't found the net in the Premier League since November.
Marseille have made Chamakh their top target for the summer and the Gunners may be tempted to part with the forward as they'd receive a transfer fee for the player.
Chamakh may also be keen as his opportunities have not been regular at Arsenal with Van Persie and Bendtner occasionally preferred ahead of him in attack.
If Chamakh were to depart Papiss Demba Cisse and Kevin Gameiro are just two of the possible targets that Arsenal might wish to replace him.
