What a time it is to be a Leeds United supporter.

Not only did Marcelo Bielsa's side end their 16-year absence from the top flight by securing promotion, they went up as champions.

Surely there's no better way to silence the doubters than that.

But rest assured, now is not the time for the Whites to get complacent.

Adjusting to life back in the Premier League is going to be incredibly tough with the gulf in class between England's top two division being huge.

While Bielsa will be confident that his side can compete, there's every chance that he might look to add some top flight experience to his side to help them adapt.

Money will be there for Victor Orta to spend, but there's also some interesting options available on a free transfer.

Whether that's players who are leaving a Premier League side, or individuals who have left clubs in the Championship who could step up, there's plenty for Leeds to ponder.

Let's take a look at 11 of the players who Leeds could target on a free transfer.

Claudio Bravo

If Leeds are looking for a goalkeeper who's played at the highest level, then look to further.

Bravo is out of contract at Manchester City and available for nothing.

Whether Bielsa can convince the 37-year-old to stay in England rather than move back to Chile, however, remains to be seen.

Joe Hart

It's hard to figure out what's happened to the goalkeeper in recent years.

Previously one of the best for club and country, the former Man City man looked untouchable until a lapse in confidence has seen his career go downhill.

Recently released from Burnley, I'm sure the opportunity to move to Leeds would be hugely appealing.

Nathaniel Clyne

The Liverpool man has had torrid luck with injuries.

However there's no doubt that the full-back still has plenty to offer in the Premier League.

If Leeds are looking for an attack-minded right-back then a move for Clyne could be very shrewd - the only issue is ensuring that he can stay fit.

Daniel Ayala

There's been plenty of reports about the former Middlesbrough defender's future.

With Leeds previously linked, it seems that he may have been a player on the club's radar, however that interest now seems to have cooled.

Should the Whites fail to attract other targets, however, it could pave the way for them to make an approach.

Jeff Hendrick

The Burnley man is available this summer after turning down a new deal with Burnley,

Tipped for a stunning move to AC Milan, it seems that the Republic Of Ireland man may now be staying in England due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

Whether Leeds will see that as a green light to make a move is not known, but they could do a lot worse than the 28-year-old.

Aaron Lennon

Leeds United fans would love nothing more than to see a hometown boy return home.

The winger has had a torrid time in recent years with spells at Everton and Burnley going pretty poorly.

It's a bit of a long shot, but maybe a return to Elland Road is just what's needed to help the experienced player recapture his former glory.

Jordan Ibe

He was tipped to be one of Liverpool's stars of the future.

However it now seems that Ibe faces an uncertain future after being released by Bournemouth.

There's clearly a quality player in there, and maybe the tutelage of Marcelo Bielsa is what's needed to coax it out of him.

Angel Gomes

One of the most talented academy graduates to come through at Old Trafford in the last couple of years.

The 19-year-old has all of the potential to be a top player and that's why several of Europe's top clubs are keeping an eye on him.

If he wanted a platform to impress in the Premier League then Leeds United could be just the place.

Ryan Fraser

He was the Premier League's main creative threat last season, however this term didn't exactly go to plan for the Bournemouth man.

The winger refused to sign a contract on the south coast as he looked to push through a big-money deal in the Premier League, but at present no contract has been signed.

If Leeds United can get Fraser enjoying his football then a free transfer for him could be a no-brainer.

Danny Loader

The 19-year-old is a free agent after leaving Reading at the end of the season.

Tipped to be a star, plenty of Premier League sides have been linked with a move, as well as Porto who are said to be keen.

Loader is certainly a talent and Marcelo Bielsa could be a huge pull is securing a deal for the talented forward.

Oumar Niasse

The Everton man has blown hot and cold during his time in the Premier League.

That said, the 30-year-old has certainly showed that he has what it takes in the top tier.

Leeds will be setting their sights a little bit higher, but they could do a lot worse than a bargain move for the frontman.
