The Premier League has finally concluded... so what do we do now?

Fear not - the football continues with Championship playoffs, Europa League and Champions League action to come in August.

But as far as the English top-flight goes, we won't see another ball kicked until September 12 when the 2020/21 season begins.

The offseason is usually a time for footballers to rest, while fans and journalists alike overanalyse every little detail from the finished campaign - and there are usually some interesting results.

You'll no doubt see countless articles about the players who played the most minutes, made the most passes or picked up the most cards last season. Exciting, no?

But what about the fastest players in the Premier League? That's a topic we're going to explore.

With the 2019/20 season complete, the stats have been collected and the top 10 quickest players have been revealed.

Traore is expected to top the list

Incredibly, Wolves forward Adama Traore DID NOT top the list. Check out the full list of fastest players below:

10. Phil Foden | Man City | 23.07 vs Aston Villa (Oct 26)

9. Fred | Man Utd | 23.17mph vs Everton (Dec 15)

Fred makes the list

8. Shane Long | Southampton | 23.21mph vs Newcastle (Dec 8)

7. Ainsley Maitland-Niles | Arsenal | 23.27mph vs Man City (Dec 15)

6. Caglar Soyunchu | Leicester | 23.33mph vs Crystal Palace (Nov 3)

Soyuncu is another surprising speedster

5. Aaron Wan-Bissaka | Man Utd | 23.36mph vs West Ham (Nov 3)

4. Trezeguet | Aston Villa | 23.36mph vs Liverpool (July 5)

3. Mason Greenwood | Man Utd | 23.36mph vs Everton (Mar 1)

Greenwood comes third

2. Adama Traore | Wolves | 23.48mph vs Chelsea (July 26)

1. Kyle Walker | Man City | 23.49mph vs Chelsea (June 25)

Walker takes top spot on the list

So, it's Walker who takes the fastest player crown ahead of Traore - by a split second.

Many would expect to have seen the Wolves star at the top of the list, given his blistering pace that's on show every weekend.

But we know Walker is no slouch. In fact, he came second on the list in the 2018/19 season behind Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

Fosu-Mensah topped the speed list last season

With the Man United youngster only making three Premier League appearances this season, he wasn't playing enough to hit top speed and this year, it's Walker who tops the list.
