Asuka and Ember Moon are classic rivals.
The pair had a brilliant rivalry in NXT, clashing twice over the Women’s Championship.
They first battled at NXT TakeOver: Orlando before renewing hostilities at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III.
Asuka won both matches, with each receiving over a 4 star rating from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, per Cagematch.
They have not gone toe-to-toe on the main roster yet, however, and Ember is currently injured, meaning we are unlikely to get any more anytime soon.
However, she has an itch that she wants to scratch.
Indeed, despite tearing her Achilles Tendon in 2019 in a segment over the 24/7 Championship, she is hoping to get back in the ring with the Empress of Tomorrow.
This is in spite of Ember actually admitting that she didn’t just tear her Achilles; she split it in half and tore it off.
After NXT’s Twitter account tweeted a video of Asuka and Ember going head-to-head in Brooklyn, she tweeted: “This match!!!! I want more.”
And Asuka seems game.
She tweeted in reply: “How much longer should I wait… No matter how long it takes, I believe in you and I’ll wait for you forever.”
Asuka and Ember clearly have a lot of love for each other and they are desperate to get back in the ring together.
Fans should be too; they have insane chemistry and could steal the show on any card they perform on.
