WWE news: Kairi Sane issues heartfelt farewell message

Kairi Sane has left WWE.

The Japanese superstar was featured on Monday Night RAW but appears to have been written out of the show.

Indeed, she was seen during the WWE RAW Women’s Championship match between Asuka and Sasha Banks, supporting the Empress of Tomorrow.

However, Bayley, Banks’ ally, brutally attacked her, leading to Asuka attempting to help her stricken friend.

Due to the stipulation of the match, however, Asuka lost her title, as she was counted out – a disqualification also would have seen the title change hands.

And Sane took to Twitter afterwards to confirm that she is heading for greener pastures.

Posting a picture showing all of her accomplishments, she wrote: “I was able to accomplish so much in the last three years, but it wasn’t because of my ability or my strength.

“It was because of all of the constant, warm support from the fans. I am so thankful I could meet you all.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Kairi Sane.”

Sane initially signed for WWE in 2016, and went on something of a tear.

She is one of the most decorated women’s wrestlers in the company, winning the NXT Women’s Championship, along with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, while she was also the winner of the 2017 Mae Young Classic.

Sane was a star in Stardom, too, winning the Artist of Stardom Championship four times, along with the Goddess of Stardom Championship on three occasions.

One has to wonder where she will end up next but whatever happens, she has lit up WWE with her talent throughout her career.
