The Premier League has only just ended but there's already some excitement building ahead of the new campaign.
We still have the Champions League and Europa League to be decided but as soon as that's over, the domestic term will begin again.
Things kick off in September but whether Liverpool will be usurped by anyone is hard to see.
Manchester City will be looking to bounce back while Chelsea will be full of fire after acquiring Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.
However, Manchester United also came alive towards the back end of 2019/20. All of that means the quality in the league could finally improve.
That is predominantly down to the hefty fees that have been splurged in recent memory, but there is also an impressive crop of young players coming through the ranks.
It's looking like a superb time to be an England fan with players like Bukayo Saka, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mason Greenwood getting better and better with each game.
Though, who makes up the most expensive U21 players in the division heading into next season?
Using Transfermarkt's valuations, we put together our own XI of players who, barring inexperience, could quite easily challenge for some honours next season.
In the team, Leeds feature, while there are a number of players from Arsenal and Chelsea too.
Here's the side we've put together...
GOALKEEPER
Illan Meslier - £4.05m: Leeds may have only just been promoted but they already have the most expensive U21 'keeper in the division.
The Frenchman was on loan at Elland Road last season and didn't play a single minute until 2020 came round. However, he's now become a permanent part of the furniture after keeping as many as seven clean sheets in his ten Championship outings. Meslier impressed against Arsenal in the FA Cup on his debut so we already know he has what it takes against the Premier League's finest.
DEFENDERS
Trent Alexander-Arnold - £89.10m: No prizes for guessing who the right-back in this team is. The Liverpudlian has very quickly become one of the most exciting defenders in world football and has now been lighting up the top-flight for two successive years.
A major part of how Jurgen Klopp's side play, he racked up a mighty 15 assists in all competitions this season.
Ethan Ampadu - £8.10m: The Welshman can also play in the middle of the park but it's in defence where he's looked most at home. On loan in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig last season, he struggled for regular football, playing just seven times.
However, Frank Lampard has already admitted he's a fan of Ampadu and after handing a number of chances to Chelsea's younger crop this term, the future looks bright for the defender.
William Saliba - £20.25m: Saliba hasn't even played a game for Arsenal yet but he's already catching the eye of fans and is seen as the saviour of the Gunners' defence. At the age of just 19, he spent last term on loan at St Etienne but has a giant ceiling and an enormous future in the game.
He recently claimed that he wants to be like Raphael Varane and if he plays anything like the Madrid defender, the Premier League could be in for a treat. He completed 88.6% of his passes last season on the way to winning 2.5 aerial duels per game.
Brandon Williams - £9.90m: Another 19-year-old, the Man United left-back burst onto the scene this term and rarely put a foot wrong, stepping in for Luke Shaw confidently. Williams has a certain arrogance about him that a young footballer needs to succeed and he has quickly become a reliable figure for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Williams featured 33 times in all competitions this term.
MIDFIELDERS
Declan Rice - £44.55m: At the age of 21, Rice is one of the elder statesmen of this team and he already looks like a player that plays beyond his years.
The defensive midfielder has become a regular in Gareth Southgate's England squads, failing to miss a single minute of Premier League action in 2019/20. He won an impressive 3.1 tackles per game while keeping things ticking over with a pass completion rate of 86%. Consistent.
Matteo Guendouzi - £36.45m: Another Arsenal player, it would be surprising if the Frenchman stuck around next season. Alienated from the squad after his ridiculous comments following defeat at Brighton, Guendouzi has failed to play a single minute since.
As such, it looks like he could depart with clubs like Barcelona circling around the midfielder. Guendouzi made an instant impact under Unai Emery last term but it's still difficult to work out what he brings to a team - he isn't too adept either defensively or in the final third. That being said, he still has huge potential.
Mason Mount - £36.45m: Valued at the same price as Guendouzi, it's safe to say that Mount offers far more to a team than the Arsenal starlet. The midfielder has had a breakthrough season under Frank Lampard in his debut top-flight campaign, producing seven goals and six assists.
Blessed with the ability to play centrally or out wide, his versatility is incredibly useful. It wouldn't be surprising if he did even better next term.
ATTACKERS
Reiss Nelson - £11.25m: The third Arsenal youngster in this XI, Nelson goes down as Transfermarkt's highest valued U21 player on the right-wing. He hasn't shown his true colours for the Gunners quite yet, but there is enough there to believe he could become a highly impressive player.
Nelson scored his first Premier League goal against Liverpool a few weeks back and produced a bright cameo against Watford. The 20-year-old has contributed to six goals this season.
Christian Pulisic - £48.6m: The Chelsea winger has become one of the most exciting and dangerous players in the top-flight this season, emerging as a real star at the back end of the campaign.
The American initially struggled but he is now showing signs of why Chelsea trusted in him to replace Eden Hazard. Pulisic has bagged ten goals and ten assists this term, eight of which came after the restart.
Mason Greenwood - £26.10m: No surprise for who stars as the central striker in this XI. Greenwood has been remarkable this season and at the age of just 18, it's scary just how good he can become.
The United forward can play on the wing but his future surely lies in attack. He has the ability to beat players while his composure is truly impressive. The teenager scored a mightily impressive 17 senior-team goals this season.
