We're in the middle of a summer football feast.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all sport was suspended in March, meaning we've been playing catch up ever since the restart.

Most domestic football has come to an end, but there's the small matter of Champions League and Europa League campaigns to conclude.

While fans have absolutely loved seeing football over the summer months, it has proven a little tricky for clubs and sponsors - especially when it comes to new kits.

With certain deals ending on July 1, some teams were turning out in fresh threads for a few fixtures - Chelsea being the obvious example.

But other clubs, which haven't changed sponsors, will continue to wear their 2019/20 kits until the end of the current European campaign.

Therefore, we've still been seeing the traditional kit releases and on Friday, Barcelona announced their away kit for next season.

Barcelona have dropped their new kit

It's fair to say it's one of the cleanest we've ever seen.

Check it out below:

Barca's new kit is clean

Absolutely gorgeous. We can't wait to see Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann ripping it up in their black and gold threads next season.

Barca's new kit dropped with the slogan 'the colours are within', which has been explained on their website:

"'The colours are within' is the slogan chosen by FC Barcelona for the new 2020/21 away kit, which this year is black with gold details.

"The club chose this ‘absence of colour’ to show that Barca fans’ heart are Blaugrana, no matter what is on the outside."

Nike are sometimes slammed by fans for creating dull and unoriginal kits - Tottenham fans, we're looking at you - but it's fair to say they've nailed it with Barcelona this year.

This away kit is bound to have plenty of fans shouting 'shut up and take my money' when it goes on sale from August 6.
