Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for their biggest summer in recent years.
It was a disappointing campaign in which the North London side struggled to challenge at the top end of the table.
With Mauricio Pochettino departing and being replaced by Jose Mourinho, Spurs were able to squeeze into the Premier League's top six and qualify for the Europa League.
A spot in the Champions League is the minimum expectation, and that means that things need to improve in the upcoming season.
The summer will be Mourinho's first in charge in North London and that means that he'll be really looking to put his stamp on the side.
However with COVID-19 wreaking havoc with finances within the game, it seems that clubs will need to think outside of the box as they look to strengthen.
If reports are to be believed, Tottenham are certainly doing that.
The Daily Mail claim that Spurs are plotting a summer move for Troy Deeney.
The 32-year-old could be available following Watford's relegation from the Premier League last week.
Tottenham are seeking cover for their talisman Harry Kane as they look to ensure that the side are prepared to compete on all fronts.
So while Deeney may not be a first team regular, it's thought that he could be perfect squad player for Mourinho's side.
According to the report, Spurs have been offered the chance to sign the frontman and could be looking for a loan deal.
However that could prove troublesome with Deeney having just 12 months left on his contract, meaning that the Hornets are likely to want to cash in if they're to lose their most iconic player.

Strangely, this is a deal that could make sense.
Troy Deeney has plenty to offer a football club like Tottenham Hotspur and would more than hold his own as a squad option.
His leadership and desire to win is also exactly what Jose Mourinho looks for in a striker - just look at the likes of Didier Drogba and Diego Costa who have thrived previously.
The Watford man is unlikely to get an offer from a club bigger that Spurs, and so the chance to join their journey would be hugely appealing.
It's also likely that he'd be well liked by the Tottenham fans - particularly with his track record at winding the Arsenal fans up by criticising their lack of 'cojones'.
However with the Gunners relegating Watford on the final day, Deeney may have a point to prove to Spurs' North London rivals.
Assuming that Deeney is happy to play a secondary role, it's certainly a move that could have legs and one that I'd be interested to see.
