Cristiano Ronaldo's efforts in a Juventus shirt in 2019/20 have been simply remarkable.

The Portuguese superstar finished the season with 31 league goals to his name, scoring 21 times in Serie A this year alone.

Without the 35-year-old, Juve's dominance over Italian football could well have come to an end, with Inter Milan finishing just one point behind the Bianconeri.

It's been tough going under Maurizio Sarri and there's a slim chance that the club could lose their talisman this summer.

We all know Ronaldo loves a fresh challenge, especially the prospect of thriving in a different country and league.

As such, France Football are reporting that the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star was seriously pondering a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The publication state that the 'dream' of playing in the French capital has been in Ronaldo's head for months, with the Portuguese said to already have a good relationship with PSG stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

His 'dreams' of a Juve exit started after the club's suspect performance during the 2-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League group stage.

Ronaldo was said to be unhappy at the team's dinner following the match and the prospect of moving to Paris was suddenly at the forefront of the 35-year-old's mind.

"Cristiano is not dissatisfied, but neither is he happy," France Football say, quoting a source close to the Portuguese star.

The same source also states that his departure from Juventus before the coronavirus pandemic was "very likely”.

GIVEMESPORT'S Danny Ryan says...

This is a transfer I can still genuinely see happening.

Despite the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, PSG are one of the few clubs who could probably still afford to sign Ronaldo this summer - and just think of the benefits for both parties.

PSG acquire the most marketable footballer on the planet to help accelerate the growth of their brand and one who also drastically improves the team's chances of winning the Champions League.

Then you have to look at it from Ronaldo's perspective. The guy is always desperate to prove himself in different environments and PSG are tailor-made for him.

Goals and trophies will be very easy to come by, while there's also the very attractive prospect of living it up in Paris.

What more could a global superstar - one obsessed with personal achievements - want, eh?
