Jadon Sancho to Manchester United: Video of all 17 goals and 16 assists from 2019/20

Jadon Sancho contributed to 33 goals during the 2019/20 Bundesliga season

Jadon Sancho’s move to Manchester United appears to be all but a formality now.

The 20-year-old starlet could reportedly complete a £110m move to Old Trafford as early as this week and he will take the Red Devils’ coveted number seven shirt upon his arrival.

Signing Sancho will be a serious statement of intent from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, one which could elevate the team’s status to that of ‘Premier League title challengers’ in 2020/21.

Why you ask? Because after just two years playing regularly in Borussia Dortmund’s first-team, the former Manchester City forward is already one of the best players on the planet.

Sancho’s stats during 2019/20 in the Bundesliga are worthy of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. In 32 appearances, the Englishman scored 17 goals and assisted 16 more.

Sancho in action

Amazingly, Sancho only started 25 of the 32 games, averaging a goal involvement on the pitch every 69 minutes.

A hefty chunk of his goals and assists in the German top-flight in 2019/20 were also a joy to behold and you can watch all 33 in the video below.

The guy is everything you could want from a forward in the modern era.

He dribbles past defenders for fun, finishes chances emphatically and plays passes that any playmaker in the world would be envious of.

However, there will be United fans that refuse to get too excited with regards to the signing of Sancho, given the failings of the club’s previous recruits from the Bundelsiga.

Both Shinji Kagawa and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were signed from Dortmund after seasons similar to that of Sancho’s efforts in 2019/20.

Mkhitaryan & Kagawa

Prior to his arrival at United in the summer of 2012, Kagawa scored 13 goals and assisted another eight in just 31 Bundesliga games.

Mkhitaryan’s output the season before moving to Old Trafford was even better, with the Armenian forward scoring 11 goals and assisting 15 more during the 2015/16 Bundesliga campaign.

Both flopped spectacularly in the famous red shirt, so it’s probably wise for United fans to maintain some degree of calmness over Sancho’s impending arrival.

We know that’s easier said than done, though…
