Conor McGregor has been taunting his rival Khabib Nurmagomedov yet again recently, claiming he will be ‘s******g his pants' when he faces Justin Gaethje in October.

Khabib will face Gaethje in a lightweight unification bout on October 24, with the Russian looking to extend his undefeated record to 29-0 in the Octagon.

Replying to UFC commentator Joe Rogan’s post on Instagram, Khabib wrote that he will “take him to the deepest ocean and drown him.”

However, McGregor, who lost against Khabib two years ago in Las Vegas, took to Twitter to take aim at Khabib, writing: “In other words – ‘I’m going to be running around the outside of the cage, s******g my pants. And within the first ten seconds of the fight I’m diving at his legs for a good whiff of his jockstrap.”

McGregor has now since deleted the tweet... something he does a lot these days.

McGregor still talks the talk despite claiming to be retired from the sport, but UFC president Dana White made comments recently saying he doesn’t have the Irishman planned for a fight any time soon.

White said: “I think most of us don’t believe that he’ll remain retired, but let me put it to you this way: I owe fighters that are under contract with me three fights a year. OK?

“If I don’t deliver those three fights a year, I have to pay them. Conor McGregor is retired, whether people want to believe it or not.”

Whilst McGregor gives stick to his rivals, he has also expressed an interest in getting back into the boxing ring, this time to face the legendary Manny Pacquiao after losing to Floyd Mayweather back in 2017.

Meanwhile, Khabib will start to up the preparations for his next fight by teaming up with American Kickboxing academy coach Javier Mendez.

The location of the next fight is still to be determined, but is likely to be in Abu Dhabi after staging fights in that region last month in their ‘Fight Island.’

This will be Khabib’s first fight since the death of his father and trainer Abdulmanap due to Covid-19 complications.
